(including Anita), this cozy bar sells more than 60 wines by the glass and lots more by
the bottle. The emphasis is on Croatian wines by small-production wineries, but they also
have a few international vintages. Each wine is well-described on the menu, and the staff is
happy to guide you through your options—just tell them what you like. Sit in the tight in-

tours to the Pelješac Peninsula (see here ) ; also ask about the organized tastings and other
events in his adjacent tasting room.
Cocktails and People-Watching
The no-name square tucked behind cathedral is jammed with tables from a half-dozen dif-
ferent cafés, which fill with tourists and locals each evening. Live jazz is provided nightly
by Jazz Caffè Troubadour, but as their drink prices are outlandish (80-100-kn cocktails),
most people prefer to sit at a nearby place where you can hear the music nearly as well.
Nonenina, a few steps from the cathedral on Pred Dvorom, is an outdoor lounge with

ing, shorter hours off-season, across from Rector's Palace).
The Gaffe Irish Pub, with a nice pubby interior and a small courtyard, is a rollicking
spot to drain a pint and watch some rugby (Miha Pracata 4, mobile 098-196-2149, see full
listing under “Eating in Dubrovnik,” later).
Nightclubs
Dubrovnik has a variety of nightclubs. The streets branching off from the Stradun are lined
with several options with drinks and pumping music, including Sky Bar (toward the water
on Marojice Kaboge) and Africa (toward the mountain at Vetrani ć eva 3). Just follow the
beat.
More places are near or just beyond the Plo č e Gate at the east end of town. Head under
