All over town, you'll see travel agencies where you can rent a car, bike, scooter, boat, sea
kayak, or anything else you want for some vacation fun. Local captains take tourists on
cruisestonearbybaysandislandstogetoutonthewater,swim,andenjoyalocal-style“fish
picnic.” Inquire at any travel agency, or simply talk to a captain at the harbor (near the east-
ern ferry dock, at Shell Bay; figure about 200 kn per hour regardless of number of people).

ula Island may be one of Croatia's most beautiful. It mingles rugged mountains, lush
forests, picturesque and tasty vineyards, gorgeous hidden beaches, and an almost Hawaiian
ambience. If you have a car, the island is worth a half-day spin. Or you can easily take the
bus or a taxi boat to Lumbarda.
