Arrival in Korčula
By Boat: In general, the big Jadrolinija car ferries arrive on the east side of the Old Town
peninsula, while the fast catamarans dock at the west side of town. (But inclement weather
can change the arrival or departure point.) From either side of the peninsula, it's just a two-
minute walk to where it meets the mainland and all of the services described under “Orient-
ation to Kor č ula,” earlier.

east of Kor č ula, about a five-minute drive from town. Regular buses connect this dock with
Kor č ula town. Some boats from Split and Hvar town arrive at Vela Luka, at the far end of
Kor č ula Island. Each boat arriving at Vela Luka is met by a bus waiting to bring arriving
travelers to Kor č ula town (about 1 hour).
By Bus: The bus station is at the southeast corner of Kor č ula's Shell Bay. If you leave
the station with the bay on your right, you'll reach the Old Town. If you leave with the bay
on your left, you'll get to hotels Korsal, Liburna, Park, and Marko Polo.
By Car: See “Route Tips for Drivers” at the end of this chapter. Once in Kor č ula town,
