Stretching to the south and east of the Old Town is “Shell Bay,” surrounded by a strip
oftackytouristshopsandresorthotels.ThisseamiersideofKor č ula—bestavoided—caters
mostly to Brits and Germans here to worship the sun for a week or two.
To the west of the Old Town is the serene waterfront street Put Svetog Nikole, where
you'll find a few sobe (including some recommended under “Sleeping in Kor č ula,” later),
inviting swimming areas, great views back on the Old Town, and more locals than tourists.
