In Podstine, Beyond Zastup
Podstine is a quiet, nondescript residential neighborhood just beyond the big Hotel Amfora
west of the Old Town (about a 15- to 20-minute walk).
$$$ Pod Stine Hotel (“Under Stones”) feels like the sunny hideout of a reclusive
writer. At the edge of town overlooking a mini-arboretum and a beautiful cove, this small
resort features smart contemporary decor, 52 upscale-feeling rooms, a cocktail terrace,

Most of the big hotels in town are operated by the same French-owned company, Sun č ani
Hvar. About half of the chain's hotels have been elaborately renovated and boast super-
