Soba Tips: I've organized my listings by neighborhood, with a few sobe /apartments
scattered in each area. It's standard for sobe and apartments to charge 30 percent more for

In the Old Town
Note that some of the branches of the pricey Sun č ani Hvar chain, described later, are also
located in or near the Old Town.
$$$ Villa Nora is a splurge for those who believe it's worth paying extra for an ideally
locatedboutiquehotel.Itsninestylish,priceyrooms—withstonewallsandhardwoods—are
in the center of Hvar's Old Town, surrounded by cafés and bars (request a quiet room in

and next to Hotel Palace. While quite expensive, its 15 rooms (most of them very spa-
cious suites) offer a small-hotel alternative to the big boys. Its restaurant/breakfast terrace,
overlooking the harbor, is a momentum-killer. Despite its bottom-floor nightclub and locale
