As might be expected, Flores is rife with tourist-oriented joints pitching a bland melange
of 'international' fare to the package crowd. Nevertheless, a few local gems rise above the

party by the San Miguel ferry dock, as local families fix enchiladas (actually tostadas
topped with guacamole, chicken salad and so on), tacos and tamales, and dispense fruity
drinks from giant jugs. All kinds of cakes and puddings and served, too. Everyone sits on
plastic chairs as the boats pick up and discharge passengers.
