Proyecto Lingüístico Monterrico
( 5475-1265; espanolmonterrico@yahoo.com; Calle Principal) About 250m from the beach, this place
is quite professional. Classes are generally held outdoors in a shady garden area. You can
study in the morning or afternoon, depending on your schedule. Twenty hours of study per
week costs Q710, Q1100 with self-catering accommodation, or Q1200 with homestay.
Even if you're not studying here, the school is the best source of tourist information in
town.

you hit the beach. All of these hotels either front or back onto it. Most hotels have restaur-
ants serving whatever is fresh from the sea that day. Many places offer discounts for stays
of three nights or more. Reservations on weekends are a good idea. Weekend prices are
given here. Midweek, you'll have plenty more bargaining power.
