One of
the more atmospheric options in town, this small hotel offers eight cool and spacious
rooms with minimal but tasteful decorations. The small swimming pool in the courtyard is
a good place for a dip.
Hotel Casa y Campo $$
HOTEL
( 7771-3289; 3a Calle 4-73, Zona 1; s/d Q125/250; )
Comfortable, good-value rooms a
couple of blocks from the plaza. This one books up fast, so it's worth calling ahead.
Hotel Carmiña Isabel $$
( 7771-7217; Calz Las Palmas 2-71, Zona 2; s/d Q150/250; )
The Calzada Las Palmas used
to be
the
place to live in Reu, and is still lined with stately mansions. This hotel is a fine
example - rooms aren't huge but the grounds and pool area are lovely.

Hotel Posada Don José $$
( 7771-0180;

; 5a Calle 3-67, Zona 1; r from Q360; )
A beauti-
ful colonial-style hotel built around a huge swimming pool. Swan dives from the top bal-
cony are tempting, but probably unwise. Rooms are spacious and comfortable - they're
slowly remodeling here, so it's worth having a look at a few before deciding.

Eating
Reu seems to be slightly obsessed with pizza - 5a Av north of the plaza is almost wall-to-
7771 2559; hotelastor@terra.com.gt; 5a Calle 4-60, Zona 1)
both offer more refined din-
ing options.
Cafetería La Luna $
(cnr 8a Av & 5a Calle, Zona 1; mains Q25-60; 8am-10pm)
In a new location a block off the plaza,
this remains a town favorite for simple but filling meals in a low-key environment.
