The town center is 4km northeast of the Inter-americana, and the bus station is off the
road linking the two, about 2km from each. An

Getting There & Away
The bus terminal is in Zona 4, 2km southwest of the plaza along 6a Calle. A number of
companies ply the same routes, though information is not posted in any coherent fashion.
Microbuses leave from the south end of the station. Another stop, for microbuses to
Cobán and Barrillas, via Soloma and San Mateo Ixtatán, is by a gas station at El Calvario,
at the corner of 1a Av and 1a Calle, four blocks northeast of the Parque Central.
Antigua
Take a Guatemala City bus and change at Chimaltenango.
Aguacatán
(Q8, one hour) Microbuses every 15 minutes.
Barrillas
(Q50, seven hours) Microbuses hourly from 4:30am to 2:30pm.
Cobán
(Q70, six hours) Microbus at 1:40pm daily from El Calvario gas station.
Gracias a Dios (Mexican border)
(Q30, four hours) Four departures daily via Nentón.
Guatemala City
(Q60, five hours) Various lines leave continuously until about 4pm, in-
cluding Transportes El Condor, Díaz Álvarez and Velásquez. Two lines run Pullman buses
from their own private terminals:
