is Antigua's premier lodging. The 128 rooms and suites are of an international five-star
standard, while the grounds retain their colonial splendor, dotted with archaeological rel-
ics and featuring a large swimming pool, several fine restaurants, shops and five mu-
seums. The Dominican friars never had it so good. Prices go down from September to
November and up during weekends.

tigua's most celebrated B&B when Bill Clinton bedded down here in 1999. It doesn't look
like much from the outside, but behind the garage door the luxury just keeps unfolding. If
you didn't think it was possible to fit a swimming pool into an Antigua patio, stop by. The
five rooms and two suites all have fireplaces, fresh lilies, four-poster beds and highly pol-
ished tile floors.
