TOP OF CHAPTER
5 Zona 1
Cheap eats are easy to find in Zona 1 - dozens of restaurants and fast-food shops are
strung along, and just off, 6a Av between 8a and 15a Calles. American fast-food chains
such as McDonald's and Burger King are sprinkled liberally throughout Zona 1 and the
rest of the city. Pollo Campero is Guatemala's KFC clone.
Coffee culture is just beginning to hit Zona 1, and there are a number of cool little cafes
springing up where you can enjoy good coffee, sandwiches and snacks.
