ACCOMMODATION PLANS
EP (European Plan): This is a room-only plan. You've paid for a
place to sleep but all meals, drinks, and recreation are extra.
MAP (Modified American Plan): Breakfast and dinner are in-
cluded. This is a good option for those who plan to be out explor-
ing the island during the day.
AP (American Plan): All meals are included. Drinks may or
may not be included, and tips and recreation are usually not
part of the package.
AI (All-inclusive): As the name suggests, all-inclusive means
that all activities, meals, drinks, transfers, and tips are in-
cluded in the price. This all-inclusive policy means that you're
free to try anything you like without getting out the credit cards.
You've already paid for it in the package price.

Condominiums
Condominium properties are especially popular on Grand Cayman. They
can be a good choice for the traveler who wants to get away from the resort
scene and “live” on island for a few days or weeks. With a full kitchen in
most condo units, guests can shop at local markets, prepare some meals in
house, and travel more independently.
With their “almost-like-home” atmosphere, condos aren't for all visitors,
but they do work well for some. In selecting a condo, like a villa, be sure to
ask plenty of questions. If your condo is in a rental pool and the owner sud-
denly decides to vacation on the island the same week as your visit, what
will happen? Will you be upgraded to another property in the rental pool?
Be sure to get all contingencies in writing.
