Immigration & Customs
Entry Requirements
United States and Canadian citizens need to show proof of citizenship in
the form of a passport or birth certificate. Visitors must also show a return
airline ticket.
Travelers can remain in the islands for up to six months, provided they
have sufficient funds and appropriate accommodations. Extensions must
be obtained before a traveler leaves home, by writing to the Chief Immi-
gration Officer, Department of Immigration, PO Box 1098, Grand Cay-
man. The Cayman Islands Department of Immigration grants each visa
on its individual merit.
Visas are not required of citizens of member countries of the Common-
wealth of Britain, or of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Irish Republic, Italy, Japan, Liechten-
