most exclusive properties are handled by Cayman Villas. “More and more
private houses and exclusive condos are being built,” notes Penny Cumber,
managing director for Cayman Villas. “Both houses and condos are becom-
ing more deluxe; many have a private pool, a Jacuzzi, or a gym.”
Cayman Villas' offerings include the Great House on Seven Mile Beach.
This property, used by The Firm filmmakers, features beachfront balco-
nies, three bedrooms, and a den that can become a private fourth bedroom;
there is one king, one queen, two twin beds, and two day-beds. Three-and-
a-half baths, satellite TV and VCR, kitchen with microwave, dishwasher,
ice maker, wine cellar, and washer/dryer are found in the apartment as
well. Guests have use of a freshwater pool, tennis courts, and gym on pre-
mises. There is a minimum one-month stay.
Cayman Villas also offers another luxury property away from the hustle
and bustle of Seven Mile Beach; the Green House , on tranquil Spotts
Beach, is a new private home on the beachfront about five minutes from
the airport in George Town. The house includes four oceanview bedrooms
(two masters each with king bed), four full ensuite bathrooms and a half-
bath, living and dining rooms with high ceilings and French doors to let in
ocean breezes, kitchen with microwave, waste disposal, ice maker, and
dishwasher, utility room, satellite TV and VCR, freshwater pool, and
housekeeping services.
In addition to its most luxurious properties, Cayman Villas also has
options for the average traveler. Over 100 properties, some starting at $99
a night, are represented. “Cayman Villas specializes in beachfront condos
and private houses ranging from economy to deluxe, from studios to seven
bedrooms. Most condos are on Seven Mile Beach.”
Properties are closely inspected and monitored to maintain high stan-
dards. The Department of Tourism and the departments of fire and envi-
ronment also inspect furnishings, linens, flooring, woodwork, metal fix-
tures, landscaping, beach, quality of drinkable water, and check fire
extinguishers and smoke detectors.

Mile Beach, the resort offers 27 oceanfront three-bedroom villas. Along
with the beach, there's a sculptured free-form Oceanic pool, Jacuzzi and a
fully-equipped fitness center. We especially liked the fact that each villa of-
fers a private, screened patio with room for outdoor dining; villas are
equipped with full kitchens, washer/dryer, central air conditioning, a
VCR, two color televisions and telephones.
