The results obtained with a ¼ b ¼ 0 : 01, Fig. 7.2 , are very similar with other
numerical solutions available in the literature, also obtained using isotropic
materials [ 3 - 5 ]. Nevertheless, the results obtained assuming a ¼ b ¼ 0 : 10 are not
very different from the expected trabecular architecture for the considered load
case. Therefore, in further studies the same four distinct a parameters will be
considered until a consistent conclusion can be obtained.
Next, the influence of the material anisotropy is analysed. Thus, in this study the
