13.5.3. Smoothing of Slopes
The overall fl attening of relief that is thought to have occurred under periglacial condi-
tions during the Pleistocene in the mid-latitudes is further illustrated by a second detailed
slope study from central Poland (Dylik, 1963).
The isolated hill of Gora Sw Malgorzata is situated in the axial part of the Warsaw-
Berlin pradolina (see Figure 13.11), and rises 20 m above the fl at bottom of the broad
