It just might be the best bakery in the city, with its exquisite chocolate cakes and fruit
tarts, buttery croissants and tasty salami sandwiches. Eat in or, better yet, take it to the
nearby park between the bridges.
BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE

The first of a half dozen city outposts of a well-regarded San Francisco coffee roaster. A
cross between a café and a lab, the java used for iced coffee drips in giant bulbous tubes.
Filters are lined up to make coffee to order and a working roastery fills the back.

Home of the “famous Coney Island hot dog”, served
since 1916, Nathan's is a bona fide New York experien-
ce. It holds an annual Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4.
