Yankee Stadium
is home to the New York Yankees, 27-time World Series champs and the
most famous franchise in sports. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and dozens more
have formed a continuous line of superstars to the present-day, though longtime franchise
face Derek Jeter just retired. A brand-new stadium, inaugurated for the 2009 season, re-
placed the “House That Ruth Built”; the team's heroes are enshrined with plaques and
