This inexpensive outdoor restaurant with long views of
the Hudson River (the reason to go) serves standard bur-
gers with fries, hot dogs, sandwiches and a few more serious entrees.

If you're looking for a place to stop and relax near St John the Divine or Columbia, you
won't do better than this simple coffeehouse. Sip your espresso and read all day if you
like - the only problem is choosing among the home-made pastries, cookies and cakes.

A friendly stop to pick up some tasty vegan baked goods, or to linger and make a full

Popular Lincoln Center area bistro that packs in a slightly sniffy crowd to enjoy first-
rate, contemporary French food. Entrees (25-36), the brasserie menu is a bit cheaper.

Very tasty Latino fare, such as ceviches ($13-18) and chimichurri steak ($28), is served
in a colourfully decked-out restaurant with a hopping bar. The mojitos are as potent as
