or - William Cullen Bryant of the New York Post , also famed as a poet and instigator of
Central Park. Bryant Park was the site of the first American World's Fair in 1853, with a
Crystal Palace, modelled on the famed London Crystal Palace, on its grounds - an edifice
that burned in 1858. Summertime brings a lively scene to the park all day long: free jazz and
yoga classes, table tennis and free outdoor movies on Monday evenings.
