If a place can be both rustic and refined, Danny Meyer's attractive Roman trattoria,
looking out on Gramercy Park, fits the bill. Much of the focus is on the hog (which gives
the place its name) - the special is roast suckling pig. Reservations recommended,
though the bar is open all day.

Classy lounge bar with the best views of Midtown and the biggest roof garden in the city
- blankets and heaters are provided in winter. Drinks and snacks are reasonably priced
for the experience (martinis from $14; no cover). No sneakers/trainers or T-shirts for

While the city trends move toward gastropubs and handcrafted cocktails, the friendly
bartenders at Molly's pour the best pints of Guinness.

This atmospheric and spacious bar is popular with publishing types, models and photo-
