where e r is the dielectric constant of the PCB substrate, w is the width of the
transmission line in mils and h is the height from the nearest ground plane to the
transmission line in mils. The pulse generator implemented on the sensor node
PCB is shown in Fig. 5.12 .
The relationship between signal bandwidth, pulse width and center frequency
for an IR-UWB pulse stream generated using the up-conversion method is given
by ( 5.8 )[ 14 ].
