From the bus stop at the Urauchi Bridge, it is 1.5 miles (2.5 kilometers) south on the
Kaichū dōro to the next village, Sonai (
祖納
). You'll pass the Meridian Monument (

; Shigosen monyumento) just before arriving in town. There is a gas station and
several
minshuku
. Sonai is an interesting little place in that it's actually two villages in one,
