park. As at Painagama, there are public showers and men's and ladies' rooms. Also, as its
name indicates, it's popular at sunset for it faces directly west, looking out across the water
to Irabu Island. Just below Sunset Beach is the road that leads to the new bridge across to Ir-
abujima. It's quite spectacular and at 2 miles (3 kilometers) in length from shore to shore, it's
the longest over the sea bridge in Japan. It's been in construction for the past five years and is
scheduled to open in 2014.
