If money is no object, many consider the Busena Terrace Beach Resort to be the best
hotel on the island. Like the ANA Inter-Continental, it's on its own exclusive peninsula, and
in addition to the usual 400 or so deluxe rooms offers a couple dozen private ocean villas. It's
where the premiers, presidents, prime ministers and potentates stayed at the 2000 G-8 Sum-
mit, and if it's good enough for them, then it should be good enough for you and me.
Here's something a little different for those who wish to explore the ocean but perhaps are
fearful of it. Go undersea without getting wet. You won't need a scuba tank or a snorkel here.
Located at the end of a long wooden pier and then down a 50 foot (15 meter) spiral stair-
case, the Busena Terrace Underwater Observatory is a reverse aquarium. Instead of the fish
being in a tank and you're looking in, here you're in the fishbowl and the fish are outside. It's a
submarine glass-enclosed viewing station with 360 degree views. The windows in the obser-
vatory allow visitors to see tropical sea life swimming around in their natural habitat. On the
walls between the windows are pictures with the names of all the types of fish that one might
