Fukushu-en viewing pagoda and waterfall.
Materials from Fuzhou were brought over and Chinese craftsmen assembled them. The
plants, which for the most part are marked with their Latin botanical names as well as
their English and Japanese equivalents, surround a series of interconnected ponds filled with
hungry koi . For 100 Yen, vending machines dispense packets of fish pellets. Visitors will be
astonished and delighted at just how many giant goldfish are in these ponds. There are lots of
turtles too.
The park contains a number of traditional pagodas, varying in shape and style. There are
two multistory pagoda replicas, several resting platforms adjacent to or above the ponds, and
at the garden's center a magnificent viewing pagoda high above a waterfall. There is a cave
