Accessing Your Favorites
To access a website on your Favorites list, follow these steps:
Click the View Favorites, Feed, and History button to open the Favorites Center pane.
If necessary, click the Favorites tab to view your Favorites list.
Click the link for the site you want to visit. Internet Explorer opens the site.
Organizing Your Favorites in Folders
If you collect a lot of favorites, you might like to organize them in the Favorites Center pane to make them easier to find.
One approach is to place them into folders. For example, you could place all your news-related Favorites in one folder, all
your cooking-related Favorites in another folder, and so on.
To create a folder for your favorites, follow these steps:
With a site you want to add to your new folder open, click the View Favorites, Feed, and History button to open the
Favorites Center pane.
Click the Add to Favorites button. The Add a Favorite dialog box opens.
Click the New Folder button. The Create a Folder dialog box opens.
Type the name of your new folder and specify the folder's location. (You can nest folders—create them inside one
another—if required.) Then click the Create button.
Click Add. The folder is created and includes a link to the website you have open.
Another option is to add frequently visited websites to the Favorites bar.
If enabled, the Favorites bar appears along the top of your browser win-
dow, just below the address bar. To enable it, right-click the title bar and
choose Favorites Bar.
You can click a site in the Favorites bar to access it. Every new site you
add to the Favorites bar will appear on the far-left end. When the bar is
full, two small chevrons will appear on the right side of the bar, as shown
in Figure 10.5. Click the chevrons to display a menu containing addi-
tional Favorites not visible on the Favorites bar.
