When you sign up for an email account, you will be asked what password you want to use. Make sure you
choose a strong password . A strong password is one that is difficult to guess; it may include a combina-
tion of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numerals, and symbols. A strong password should be fairly
long (at least eight characters) and should not match any word in the dictionary or any common phrase or
number sequence.

you set up an email account, Outlook attempts to determine the correct
settings for that account automatically. It doesn't always succeed, so you
may need to manually configure the account settings. The following
Step by Step exercise shows the steps for setting up a new account in
Outlook 2010.
