In-Depth Information
The equipment is top notch, while the space is a bit makeshift in a Berlin sort of way
(as long as there is alcohol, nobody will notice the second-hand furniture). Good times.
BAR
Los 13 Buhos

(Parque Ginebra; 5pm-late) A supremely cool cafe-bar in newly upgraded Parque
Ginebra digs. The owner, Lucho, was the first craft beer brewer in Huaraz and has been
known to take out ranting English ads against mass produced Peruvian beers in the paper.
He brews and bottles five tasty choices, including red and black ales laced with coca. His
new location is chockfull of local art and Spencer Tunick nudes that have turned some
Huaraz heads. It's the best bar in town for kicking back on comfy lounge sofas over cold
homebrews and liquid-courage inspired conversation.

the most popular disco in town, complete with dance floor trees and loads of nooks and
crannies to hide yourself away in. Fashionable with both extranjeros (foreigners) and Per-
uvians, the music swings from techno- cumbia to Top 20, salsa and reggae and most
things in between.
