funky blend of old and new, Eureka's stylish lobby and sun-soaked cafeteria invite further
acquaintance. Rooms are comfortable but a little odd, with a child-like take on traditional
motifs. Orthopedic mattresses and down quilts make them as comfortable as they are cool.
Flexible tarifs can make it an even better deal.

This newish bed and bakery features fresh bread daily at
5am. From the looks of it, few of the guests have theirs hot (though breakfast is included).
There's also good water pressure and a hardcore hippie groove: if you want to shop for
San Pedro experiences or make organic pizza, it's your spot.

This scruffy but charming converted hillside farmhouse high above the
Plaza San Blas affords some great views. There's erratic hot water, private bathrooms and
a large farm kitchen available for cooking your own meals. Taxis can't climb the final up-
hill stretch, so be prepared for a stiff walk.
