Colors $$

( 36-9254; Lima 342; mains S16-28; 7am-11pm; ) A couch cafe with free wire-
less, Colors also caters to travelers with its slick look and fusion food. The menu is so ex-
tensive it's hard to root out the specialties, and the staff may not be much help.
Many restaurants don't advertise their menús (set meals) , which are cheaper than or-
dering à la carte. Locals eat pollo a la brasa (roast chicken) and economical menús on
Jirón Tacna between Calles Deustua and Libertad.
For a cheap snack, try api (hot, sweet corn juice) - a serious comfort food found in sev-
eral places on Calle Oquendo between Parque Pino and the supermercado. Order it with a
paper-thin, wickedly delicious envelope of deep-fried dough.
If you're feeling MSG-deprived, head to Calle Arbulú to fill up at a cheap and cheerful
chifa (Chinese restaurant). For self-catering, head to Supermercado Central Offline map

Drinking
Central Puno's nightlife is geared toward tourists, with lively bars scattered around the
bright lights on Jirón Lima (where touts hand out free-drink coupons) and next to the
plaza on Jirón Puno.
