houses long-distance bus
companies. Buses leave for Cuzco every hour from 5am to 11pm, and for Arequipa every
hour from 2:30am to 11:30pm.
Buses to the coast leave from within walking distance of Plaza Bolognesi, on and
around San Martín over the railway tracks;
combis
(minibuses) to Puno leave from Plaza
Bolognesi.
Julsa

has the most frequent departures to Arequipa;
Power

has the most frequent to Cuzco. Civa, Ormeño and San Cristobal run to
Lima.
Sur Oriente has a daily bus to Tacna at 7pm. More centrally located,
San Martín

and other companies along Tumbes between Moquegua and Piérola go to Tacna
(S25, seven hours) via Moquegua.
