This is the grand dame of Arequipa's hotels, situated 1km north
of the center. The stylish building is perfectly set in gardens with a pool and playground.
It has spacious rooms and opulent public areas, plus its spa boasts a sauna, Jacuzzi and fit-
ness room. The sedate restaurant serves a fine Sunday brunch. Neighboring Selva Alegre
park is beautiful, but don't wander too far from the crowds, and avoid it after dark.
