tada restaurant around the corner, this place has made the opposition look over its

This is a classic travelers' haunt with a restaurant, manicured grounds and pool. It has
narrow, carpeted rooms with TVs and fans, and its own tour company. Rates include a free
half-hour of internet access and a pickup from the bus stations, where you should ignore
touts from the Hotel Alegría II.

An indefatigably hospitable family deftly deals with all of the backpackers that
stream through their doorway. They offer a few floors of small but well-cared-for rooms
with hot showers and cable TV. There's a sociable terrace with a handy washing machine
and dryer.

above your standard bus station dive (though it's right next to it), this new gaff with an as-
