superoxo species An intramolecular redox reaction then

produces the -benzoquinone monoimine (bqmi) intermediate, which

undergoes oxidative dimerization to 2-aminophenoxazine-3-one (apx) and
2,2'-dihydroxyazobenzene (dhab).
