Somaliland has great potential for outdoor pursuits but there are no proper facilities. Be-
cause of the lack of funds, nothing has been really developed yet.
Birdwatching
Although it's still relatively poorly known in ornithological terms, Somaliland is a great
destination for adventurous birdwatchers. The best birdwatching opportunities can be
found near Sheekh, around Burao and in the vicinity of Daallo Forest. Contact the follow-

Diving & Snorkelling
The reefs off Berbera and the islands off Zeila have potential for diving and snorkelling,
but they can't compare with the Gulf of Tadjoura in Djibouti. At the time of writing there
was no professional dive operator.
