In-Depth Information
Kitesurfing
The combination of constant, strong breezes, protected areas with calm water conditions
and the lack of obstacles make Djibouti a world-class destination for kitesurfers. In the
Bay of Ghoubbet, winds can reach 35 knots and blow about 300 days a year.
Whale-Shark Spotting
The Bay of Ghoubbet is one of the best places in the world to snorkel near a massive
whale shark. During the peak season (November to January), the question isn't whether
you will see a shark, but how many you will see.
