Popular with Addis Ababa's elite this is a massive but attract-
ive resort, the only one on Lake Kuriftu. There's a wide variety of rooms, all with nice
little touches such as mosaics around the sinks. The great location affords the stone and
timber restaurant (mains Birr76 to Birr114) great views. Prices are sky high, but they of-
ten offer discounts.

Its lofty perch on Bishoftu's crater rim and a serenade of birdsong
makes this
the
place to dine; and makes the high prices excusable. The menu is the same
as every other hotel restaurant in Ethiopia.

There was just an ordinary expensive hotel menu when we visited, but
there's a plan to go pan-African by adding dishes like
jollof
rice and
ugali
.

If you're in an
injera
mood you can't do better than this spot on the
main road, though the menu is only partially in English. They also have salads and less-
greasy-than-usual pasta sauces.

Information
The only ATM (Dashen Bank didn't have one when we visited, but should have by the
time this topic hits the shelves) and internet cafe are in the 'new' town near the bus sta-
tion.
