Shallow Lake Chelekleka , 2km west of the roundabout, is not a crater lake and lacks
the dramatic scenery of the others. But it's a birdwatcher favourite and lesser flamingos
are sometimes seen.

) If you're looking for a casual place to kick back and unwind, then look no further.
Refreshingly out of the ordinary, the rooms have a semi-traditional theme and the grounds
are mowed by giant tortoises. The stilted rooms below the rim have the best views, though
their bathrooms are up above, and there's also a 'treehouse' for those not afraid of heights.
There are canoes and a water bike to use on Lake Babogaya and binoculars for the birds.
Meals (lunch/dinner Birr80/150) must be ordered well in advance. It's just 50m past the
Galilee junction.

Once the town's flashiest digs, Dreamland is now middle of the road, but provides the best
Bishoftu views. All rooms have satellite TV, richly polished furniture, and private bal-
conies facing the lake.

ering it's perched on Lake Bishoftu's crater rim. Unfortunately, the terrace restaurant
overlooking the lake is enclosed by dirty glass windows.
