Soma Lodge $$
Offline map
( 0911-737712, tw Birr600; ) Like giant, upturned onions, the beautifully crafted
Sidamo huts here each have a small lounge, two bedrooms (with two beds and en suite in
each) and fantastic views over Nechisar National Park. It's too rustic for some, but if
you're in a group of four, or can convince them to rent you just one room for half the
price, it's a nice choice.

Zeweda Hotel $
Offline map
( 0468-810364; d Birr60; ) Simple and spartan (there are squat toilets and cold-wa-
ter showers) but lacking mildewy odours, this small family-run spot is the first choice of
many tour drivers. Even if they discover faranji pricing, it will probably still be worth
considering.

Bekele Mola Hotel $$
( 0468-810046; camping Birr100, r Birr440; ) Although the lake views are excel-
lent, this places feels more like a 1970s workers' compound than a hotel and the prices are
way too high.

Rift Valley Pension $
Offline map
( 0468-812531; d/tw Birr130/130; ) Yet another place with too-high faranji prices,
the rooms here feel older than they really are, but are clean, quiet and satellite
TV-equipped.

( 0468-810206; r Birr100; ) If Zeweda is full, as it often is, this similar place makes
a reasonable backup, though it's not as good.
