Getting There & Away
There are usually three buses to Goba (Birr45, four hours), the last out the gate about
1pm. If you're not going to backtrack, there are buses to Negele Borena (Birr70, six
hours) on Thursday and Sunday (Dola-Mena's market days), arriving from Negele Borena
the day before. Trucks travel most days: try to strike a deal for a front seat with the driver
the day before. From Negele Borena, there are daily buses to Mega (Birr75, six to eight
hours) and to Shashemene (Birr116, 10 to 11 hours) via Awasa, plus daily trucks to Yabe-
lo.
