The small, neglected collection here isn't
really worth your time; the man with the key is probably on a five-hour lunchbreak any-
way. But a large new regional museum that, we were told, will cover the region's 56 eth-
nic groups, should be worth a visit when it opens.

on all accounts: clean, comfy, good location and good value. Be sure to ask for a room
away from the noisy kitchen.

A project of famed distance runner Haile Gebrselassie, this lakeside place on the
Addis-side of town is a tasteful, art-filled international-standard hotel. There are plenty of
extras, like tennis courts, sauna, putt-putt golf and mountain bikes, plus top-notch dining.
Paying extra for a lake view is worth it.

is well maintained and up to date with wi-fi and satellite TV. Very good value.

place is younger and smarter, though beyond the funky furniture in the lobby, just as plain.
The higher price also gets you a few more gadgets such as a minifridge and nifty showers
