Getting There & Away
There are at least 10 daily buses to Mekele (Birr36, 2½ hours) and countless minibuses.
Use the latter for Freweyni (Birr12, 45 minutes) and Wukro (Birr22, 1½ hours).
Going west, there are several buses and minibuses to Adwa (Birr34, three hours) and
Aksum (Birr44, 3½ hours), but just one bus direct to Shire (Birr67, six hours, 6am).
