( 0347-752676; s/d/tw Birr200/250/ 300; ) Very near the Africa Hotel, this place
has essentially the same quality rooms, but minus the mostly faranji clientele.
Yeha Hotel $$$
( 0347-752377; www.yehahotelaxum.com ; s/tw/ste US$57/76/102; ) Perched
atop a bluff overlooking the stelae and the Mary of Zion churches, this hotel has the most
enviable location, and though it's too old to be able to claim the best rooms in town, all
things considered it remains the best place to stay. The lobby is full of stone and wood.

Kaleb Hotel $

( 0347-752222; d without bathroom, d Birr150-250, tw Birr280; ) With quiet rooms
set around a garden courtyard, Kaleb has the nicest budget setting. The rooms are large
and decent, but a bit overpriced.
HOTEL
Consular International Hotel $$$
( 0348-750210; d US$55-60, tw US$75; ) This six-storey tower on the Adwa end
of town is served by Aksum's first elevator. The rooms are big and well appointed (some
with steam showers) but lack's Yeha Hotel's atmosphere.
