6. Right-click on the Light1 in the Perspective viewport; a shortcut menu is displayed.
Choose Knife from the shortcut menu; the Knife tool settings are displayed in the At-
tribute Manager. Make sure that the Loop option is selected in the Mode drop-down list.
Next, add an edge loop, as shown in Figure P1-33. Press SPACEBAR to exit the tool.

7. Select the polygons of Light1 , as shown in Figure P1-34. Right-click on the selected
polygons of the Light1 ; a shortcut menu is displayed. Choose Extrude from the shortcut
menu; the Extrude tool settings are displayed in the Attribute Manager.

8. In the Attribute Manager, choose the Options button; the Options area is displayed. In
this area, enter 6 in the Offset spinner. Press ENTER; the selected polygons of Light1
are extruded, as shown in Figure P1-35. Next, choose the Model tool from the Modes
Palette; Light1 is displayed in the object mode.
