Creating an Expression
In this section, you will create an expression in the
XPresso Editor
. Next, you will create
custom parameters using the
Add User Data
option.
1. Select
Traffic-Lights
in the Object Manager. Choose
User Data > Add User Data
from
the Attribute Manager menu, as shown in Figure 13-3; the
Manage User Data
dialog
box is displayed, as shown in Figure 13-4.
The options in the
Manage User Data
dialog box are used to add custom parameters to the
attributes of the selected objects. It can be added to every object whose parameters are
displayed in the Attribute Manager.
2. In the
Manage User Data
dialog box, make sure that the
Properties
button is chosen.
In the
Properties
area, enter
Red
in the
Name
text box and select
Float Slider
from the
Interface
drop-down list, as shown in Figure 13-5. Next, choose the
OK
button in the
Manage User Data
dialog box; the
Red
spinner along with the slider is added to the
User Data
area in the Attribute Manager, as shown in Figure 13-6.
The
Float Slider
option in the
Interface
drop-down list is used to add a slider and a spinner
so that you can enter a value for specifying the user data parameter. It is the most com-
monly used user data parameter.
Next, you will add the Yellow spinner.
