7. Select the Light object in the Object Manager. In the Attribute Manager, choose the Gen-
eral button; the General area is displayed. In this area, select Shadow Maps (Soft) from
the Shadow drop-down list. Next, select Visible from the Visible Light drop-down list.
8. In the Attribute Manager, choose the Details button; the Details area is displayed. In this
area, select Inverse Square (Physically Accurate) from the Falloff drop-down list and
enter 177.258 in the Radius/Decay spinner.
9. In the Attribute Manager, choose the Visibility button; the Visibility area is displayed.
In this area, set the parameters as follows:
Inner Distance: 175.352 Outer Distance: 177.258 Sample Distance: 23.825
Adding Effectors to the Scene
In this section, you will add effectors in the scene to control the behavior of the lights in
the scene.
1. Select the Cloner in the Object Manager. Next, choose MoGraph > Effector from the
main menu; a cascading menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 12-10. Choose the Ran-
dom option from it; Random is added to the Object Manager.

The Random effector is used to randomize the value of the clones. It is used to modify the
position, rotation, size, color, and weight of the clones.
