2. Make sure that the
Caustic Light
object is selected in the Object Manager. In the Attrib-
ute Manager, choose the

Setting Caustics Attributes
In this section, you will set caustic attributes in the scene.
1. Make sure that the
Caustic Light
object is selected in the Object Manager.
2. In the Attribute Manager, choose the
Caustics
button; the
Caustics
area is displayed. In
this area, select the
Surface Caustics
check box and set the parameters as follows:
Energy:

The caustics are used to display the realistic patterns of focused lights in an image. The
Surface Caustics
check box is used to add surface caustics in the scene.
The
Energy
spinner is used to control the brightness of the caustic effect by calculating the
total start energy of the photons. The
Photons
spinner is used to determine the number
of photons emitted from a light source in a scene. The number of photons directly affect
the intensity of the caustic effect.
3. Choose
Edit Render Settings
tool from the Command Palette; the
Render Settings
window is displayed. In this window, choose the
Effect
button; a flyout is displayed.
