1. Make sure that the
BP UV Edit
option is selected from the
Layout
drop-down list. Next,
choose
Eraser
in the
Objects
tab.
2. Make sure the
UV Polygons
tool is chosen from the Command Palette and then select
the top polygon of
Eraser
, as shown in Figure 9-20.

3. Maximize the Top viewport. Make sure the cursor is on the Top viewport and then press
O to frame
Eraser
.
4. Choose
File > New Texture
from the Texture View menu; the
New Texture
dialog box
is displayed. In this dialog box, enter
textureEraser
in the
Name
field and then choose
the
OK
button to close the dialog box.
5. In the
UV Mapping
tab, choose the
Projection
button and then choose the
Frontal
but-
ton.
The
Frontal
button is used to project the texture from the camera position.
6. Make sure the
UV Polygons
tool is chosen from the Command Palette and make sure
that the polygon is selected in the Texture View. Next, align the UV polygon in the Tex-
ture View using the
Scale
and
Move
tools, refer to Figure 9-21.
7. Choose
Layer > New Layer
from the Texture View menu to create a new layer.
